Our Relentless Pursuit: To Become More Like Jesus

This aim - to become more like Jesus - is a step we’re all invited to take, and it’s a life-long adventure! At the beginning of 2023, we prayerfully launched Relentless Pursuit - a spiritual and generosity effort to bring our mission to life even more as it impacts each of us and others.

We want to follow Jesus with our whole lives and our generosity to thrive spiritually, multiply our impact, grow leaders, and love our neighbors. Thanks for being part of this adventure! We’re grateful and praying with you.

The Impact

The Relentless Pursuit effort asks every person who is part of Kingsway to join this journey to pray, grow, serve, and be generous to support these three initiatives: debt reduction, capital improvements, and outreach and church planting. As we go into our final year, our challenge is to raise $2.5 million and with your help, we believe we will be able to do the things God is calling us to with each of the three initiatives.

Our generosity efforts will be a real, powerful witness to Jesus’ love and his impact in and through our lives. What a joy to share what we’ve been given for the advancement of God’s Kingdom and His glory!

Debt Reduction

We understand what it means to be a steward, recognizing that what we have is not ours to own, and confessing that Jesus is Lord over our money, possessions, positions of authority, and talents. We believe it is imperative for us to steward our resources well and paying down our debt is a big piece of the equation.

We’re committing 33% of every dollar given to Relentless Pursuit to debt reduction.

In 2024 we celebrated the sale of 38.6 acres of our Avon Campus. This was a big milestone and helped us break under the $7 million debt amount! Click here to read about the land sale!

Capital Improvements

We want to create environments both in person and online, where everyone can experience the love of Jesus. These physical and digital spaces will be where our community feels loved and cared for, and we can all experience ongoing spiritual formation.

We’re committing 57% of every dollar given to Relentless Pursuit to capital improvements.

In 2024, we saw the completion of two significant milestones: Pathways Learning Academy opened in October and the DCS (Department of Child Services) Safe Space was completed. You can learn more about these efforts below.

Outreach and Church Planting

We are called to love our neighbors both locally and across the globe! We’ll further our outreach efforts by giving the time and resources God has given us to partner with local and global ministries. Through these efforts, we’ll continue serving the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of people here in Hendricks County and throughout all nations.

In addition - we believe that multiplication is expected of every believer, and therefore corporately as a church too. That’s why we are focusing so much on growing leaders and multiplying ourselves - for the glory of God.

We’re committing 10% of every dollar given to Relentless Pursuit to outreach and church planting efforts.

In the past year, we have been able to give $5,000 to our global partner, WWHO (World Wide Hispanic Outreach), to aid them in purchasing a new van that helps get people to the medical care they need! This was a critical need for people in rural parts of Mexico, as they would not be able to find care without transportation.

We also just found our church planting partner with the Orchard Group! We are excited to be a part of something bigger than us, helping to reach the lost in a church plan in St. Petersburg, FL. More details to come including a video of their story.

Updates

Through our relentless pursuit of Jesus, we want to surrender all that we have for His glory. We believe we can leverage our entire campus throughout the week to create environments where the lost and broken can experience Jesus' love. By stewarding all of our resources well, we believe we will be able to meet real needs here in Avon and Hendricks County and across the globe.

Department of Child Services (DCS)

We have been working on renovating a space on our campus to meet a real need for the kids, families, and staff of the Department of Child Services here in Hendricks County. We have been growing this relationship over the years with DCS, with different initiatives including the Christmas Wishlist, and now we are excited to share the DCS Safe Space. This space is available whenever it's needed, and we even have volunteers ready to help love and support those in need. Thank you, Kingsway Family, for your generosity! Relentless Pursuit, a local church partnership with Plainfield Christian Church, and some generous donors here in our community helped make this idea come to life! Pathways Learning Academy

One of the biggest needs in our community is childcare. Recent data states that our county is at 98% capacity for childcare. In meetings with local leaders in the Community Leadership Council, we knew we had a real opportunity to meet this need and help families in Hendricks County find a safe and secure place for their children. In October 2024, Pathways Learning Academy at Kingsway opened!

Pathways Learning Academy (PLA) is a 21st-century preschool that incorporates STEAM (Science, Technologies, Engineering, Art, Math) into all aspects of each classroom from six weeks to five years old, setting each child up for success in kindergarten and beyond! We have been able to provide some Volunteers during their week who get to read to the kids. We are in the beginning stages of this strategic partnership with PLA and are excited to see how we can continue to be a welcoming and safe place for families Sunday through Friday. World Wide Hispanic Outreach

Access and transportation to healthcare for both urgent and non-urgent needs is a real problem for many in rural parts of Mexico. Our Global Outreach Partner, WWHO (World Wide Hispanic Outreach), had been using an old Kingsway van for many years to help get people where they needed to go, but it finally broke down last year. Through the Outreach funds raised with Relentless Pursuit, we gave $5000 toward the purchase of a new van to help their rural community receive the help they need, when they need it!

Church Planting Partnership

We are excited to share we have partnered with Orchard Group to identify a church planter we will support. Chris Dew and AJ Holt are planting Artisan City Church in St. Petersburg, FL. They have felt called to serve this beautiful and artistic city that is broken and in need of the hope of Jesus. Every 43 hours, someone dies from a drug overdose in the county, and has twice the national average regarding crime with nearly 12% of people living in poverty.

There will be much to share with our church over the coming months. In fact, we are hoping to invite Chris and/or AJ out to visit and share a message on a Sunday in 2025. Please keep checking this page for updates on this church-planting initiative.
