June 25 - Daily Pause

Read: Matthew 19: 13-14
Reflection: In this passage, children are seen as unimportant by the disciples. For any number of reasons, they rebuked those who brought these children to Jesus. However, Jesus clearly places a high value on children. He stopped what He was doing in order to love and bless these children. How often in today's culture do we tend to view children as difficult, unruly, or less valuable? Are there kids in your sphere of influence who you can love like Jesus? Write down their names and something you will do to show them they're loved and valued.
Prayer: God, thank you for children. Thank you that in so many ways kids reflect Your heart and often teach me more about You. Give me a heart like Yours towards the kids around me. Show me how to love them well that I might help point them towards You. Amen.
