June 12 - Daily Pause

June 12, 2020 | Megan Yoder

Read: Psalm 46:10-11

Reflection: He says, "Be still and know that I am God". How are you with the discipline of being still? I think we all would agree that hitting pause in the business of life and using that time to connect with God is what's best, but then why is it a struggle at times? I have heard in this current season we are in, if certain things are still not getting done, it's not a time issue, it's a priority issue. My prayer for you today is that you will take five minutes and just hit pause. Take this time to thank God for who He is and what He is doing in and through you currently. Reflect on all the ways you have seen Him move over the past couple of months in your life and the lives of others. And then, just be still. Spend the next 5 or so minutes in silence just listening. It's amazing all that can be accomplished by just being still!

Prayer: Father, time with you, is time well spent.  Thank you for the reminder today that this must take priority. I know you have so much you would like to share with me and when I press pause from life's distractions I can hear you more clearly. In Jesus name, Amen.
